Library Information

PM SHRI KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA NO. 2 GCF library caters to the information needs of 40+ staff and 1000+ students. The school library has a collection of over 9970 books and 25 periodicals. The library also has educational and general multimedia. library is well equipped with latest multimedia computers with internet access. Our library have books on variety of Subjects. Library also have books on sports, hobbies, story books, biographies, reference books, fairy tales and short stories. Besides text books library also maintain collection for preparatory parallel and follow up study. Book selection is mainly based on the recommendations of teachers and students.
The Vidyalaya has a computerized library system. library is well maintained and well stocked. Library is automated with E-Granthalaya software along with Barcode Technology.Various activities and events are organised for the students including story telling sessions, book talk, lectures, guidance for students. The library celebrates important days and special events like Book Day, Book Week, Reading Day etc. every year. Various programmes, competitions and Book Fair organised during these celebrations.
